Object Mode of Inpage | Lecture 4 |
So, those students who are already reading my lectures or watching them on YouTube must be aware that InPage has two modes, one is text mode and one is object mode. In text mode, we write and do all the formatting and writing-related matters. While in object mode, you are told about the tools available in the toolbox given on the left side of our InPage. , in addition, the commands related to creating objects in the menu bar of InPage or such settings that are done through the menus or various buttons on the InPage interface will be explained to you in object mode.
While in Object mode, as its name suggests, we can do drawings, shapes, and similar designing in the document of this page that is not possible in text mode.
Arrow Tool
In Object mode, the first thing that comes before us is the "Arrow Tool" and the Arrow Tool plays a key role in going to Object mode. If you want to go to Object mode in this page, you will have to click on the Arrow Tool. As soon as we click on it, we will not see the blinking cursor in our page that was burning in Text mode, but on the guideline that indicates the margins around our page, we see small rectangular nodes and this is an indication that we are in Object mode. You should note that our ribbon has changed to Object mode. While in Object mode, we can change the border pattern, border color, border thickness; And in this way we can apply a border. Similarly, all other matters regarding the object mode within the document can be done through this pick tool.
Text and Picture Editing Tool
After this, our next tool is the Text and Picture Editing Tool and it is also called the IBEAM Tool. Through this tool, we can go to text mode, while through it we can import the picture inside the picture box and with the help of these tools we can make other settings regarding the picture.
By clicking on the picture box, our pointer will change to a plus sign and wherever we click and drag this plus sign in our document, a picture box will be created there and after creating the picture box according to the desired size, we will release it. After that, we will go back to the text and picture editing tool, i.e. the IBM tool, and by selecting it, we will come to our picture box. We can note that as soon as our pointer comes to the picture box, our pointer changes to the IBM tool. We can double-click and import our picture from the desired drive of our computer and in the same way, we will see some options appear in our ribbon regarding the picture. Within these options, we can change the position of the picture in the picture box to the right, left, up and down, in the same way, we can increase or decrease the width or height of the picture, along with increasing or decreasing the brightness and contrast, and adjusting the angle of the picture to the desired level. We get commands to place or rotate it, with which we can arrange the image inside our picture box as per the desired requirement.
Rounded Rectangle and Elipticle Picture Boxes
Along with this picture box, we see two more picture boxes, one with a rounded rectangular angle and one with an elliptical picture box. All the tasks can be performed in the same way as in the above picture box.
Rotation Tool
After that, the next tool is our rotation tool, which when clicked, changes our pointer to a target icon. This is a sign that the place where we click will become the center of rotation of the object for which we have taken the rotation tool. If you click in the middle of your object and rotate it, it will rotate the object around it, and if you click a little further away from it, then this will be its fan-shaped rotation, and taking the length of its orbit, your object will rotate at the point where you clicked. You can also choose the rotation angle of the rotation tool by taking the change that has been made in your ribbon in this regard.
Linking and Delinking Text Box Tool
Our next two tools are the tools for linking text boxes and delinking text boxes, and they are used only when we have created a text box and the text in it is larger than the size of the text box. It is done, and we need another text box for this to move the additional text into it. For this purpose, we will use the text box linking tool. We have to first click on the text box in which our text has exceeded the required space and then click on the empty text box so that it is linked with it. Remember, if there is text in both the text boxes, they will remain unlinked and not be linked. In this way, by using linking, we can separate them into units. Click on the unlink and then click on any one of the text boxes that are linked in the units, then they will be unlinked.
